January 10, 2022 Located on the cusp of Redwoods Regional Park, less than 25 minutes by car from our hotel, the Chabot Space and Science Center is an 86,510-square-foot public facility dedicated to enriching public understanding of and delight in astronomy and other space sciences. After a temporary closure, the Center will reopen on January 15, and Bay Area space enthusiasts couldn’t be more excited. Visitors can take advantage of three powerful observatory telescopes to marvel at the cosmos, kick back in the 241-person planetarium for one of the weekly shows presented live by an expert staff astronomer, or hone their exploration skills behind the controls of a simulated space expedition. For a full list of programming and other attractions at the largest free observatory complex in the Western United States, check out the Chabot Space and Science Center website here.Explore the Cosmos at the Chabot Space and Science Center
