November 04, 2021 In the mood for a show? Whether you prefer theater, musicals, dance, opera, improv, or full orchestra, you’re in luck because the Lesher Center for the Arts, one of the top live entertainment spots in Northern California, is only a five-minute drive away. This month at the Lesher Center, audiences will be captivated by Laurie Sings a Song for You, a Karen Carpenter-inspired cabaret event (Nov 5 – 14); Four Seasons, an evening of Vivaldi, Schubert, Walker, and Montgomery, performed by the California Symphony and featuring acclaimed violinist Alexi Kenney (Nov 6 – 7); Willy Wonka KIDS, a staging of Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s novel by the Performing Academy Youth Performers (Nov 12 – 13); Smuin’s The Christmas Ballet, showcasing a thrilling array of traditional and cutting-edge dance and music (Nov 19 – 20); and Amazing Grace, a musical tribute to perseverance and the cultural ties that bind, with pieces by renowned Czech, Black British, and Black American composers (Nov 21).
